Every Coastal Express sailing from Bergen that Hurtigruten has released so far for 2029, from January to March, listed by date with the ship on each one. All departures from Bergen are northbound, leaving at 20:30 for Kirkenes.
How the Schedule Works
Seven ships work the Coastal Express, and each one sails the full round voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes and back before starting again, a cycle of eleven days. Hurtigruten has so far opened 2029 for booking up to 31 March, which gives 56 departures from Bergen to choose from, a sailing roughly every other day. The rest of 2029 will be added here as soon as Hurtigruten releases the dates.
Every Bergen departure leaves at 20:30 and heads north, reaching Kirkenes on the morning of the seventh day. Which ship you sail on depends on the date, so the table below lists both. If you would rather sail a particular ship than travel on a particular date, the ship pages linked below show you her dates at a glance.
The Fleet
Each ship keeps the same eleven day rhythm all year, apart from her annual dry dock, which is why a ship occasionally skips a cycle and reappears twenty two days later.

There are 56 departures from Bergen released so far for 2029, from January to March, roughly one every other day. Seven ships share the route, each sailing the full round voyage every eleven days.
Hurtigruten releases its schedule in stages. At the moment 2029 is open for booking until 31 March. We will add the remaining dates to this page as soon as they are available, and you are welcome to call us to register your interest in a later date.
Bergen departures leave at 20:30 and sail northbound to Kirkenes. Be at the terminal at least 30 minutes before departure, and you can usually board from mid afternoon.
Yes, by choosing your date. Each departure is sailed by one ship, shown in the table, and she stays with you for the whole voyage. If you want a particular ship, find her dates in the table and pick one of those.
It can. Hurtigruten occasionally swaps ships, for example during dry dock or after a technical problem, and reserves the right to do so. We will always confirm the ship when you book and let you know if anything changes.
