This can be a short break or longer stay, perhaps to celebrate a special occasion such as Christmas, New Year's Day or Valentines day.
With daily departures from Bergen, the Hurtigruten ships travel through the fjords and islands of Norway to Kirkenes in the north, before returning south again to Bergen. many travellers choose to join these ships and enjoy either the Full Round Voyage or selected parts of the journey, at this quieter, magical time of year.
