Sailing from Tromsø, the capital of Arctic Norway, this unique itinerary on board MS Richard With offers an exclusive chance to celebrate the New Year at mainland Europe's most northerly point - the North Cape.
Your itinerary starts with an overnight in Tromsø, allowing time to see the town before you set sail. The next day you will join the MS Richard With for your leisurely voyage north towards Honningsvåg, keep your eyes open for the spectacular Aurora Borealis as you navigate through the inlets and channels of these cool waters.
On arrival in Honningsvåg you will have time to explore the town by the North Cape. New Year dinner will be served on board the ship before you are transferred up to the North Cape for the New Year celebrations at mainland Europe's northernmost point.
Next day, on your way south towards Tromsø, you will also visit the town of Alta where the ship stays overnight, giving you the chance to participate in optional excursions.
Your voyage ends in Tromsø where you will stay overnight.
ItineraryDay 1 :Fly to Tromsø where you will be transferred to your centrally located hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 : Embark in the afternoon and enjoy the voyage north towards Honningsvåg (B, D).
Day 3
: Arrive in Honningsvåg late morning and stay on board the ship overnight with New Years celebrations
Day 4
: Set sail towards Alta and arrive early afternoon, free time to explore Alta or join an optional excursion
Day 5 : Enjoy the voyage from Alta to Tromsø where you will arrive late evening, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay (B, L, D).
Day 6 : Depending on your return flight there may be free time to explore Tromsø before you depart (B).

Dog Sledging - Tromsø :
This tour heads to the island of Kvaløya, where you change clothes and footwear and meet eager Huskies anxious to pull the sleds over the frozen landscape.
It is deep dark winter and the only light comes from our headlamps and the starry sky. The mood is magical as the dogs run almost silently over the snowy plains and we anticipate seeing the Northern Lights.
The trip comes to a close in a well-heated Lavvo (Sami tent) and you can enjoy an open fire and a hot drink whilst recounting the day’s adventure.
